Prawn Aatola


Blend:
2. 1/2  tblsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garlic paste
3/4 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp corriander powder
lemon sized ball of tamarind extract
3 tblsp oil
a little water
salt

This mixture should be a nice thick sauce.  Heat it and when boiling, add the prawn/shrimp and simmer till cooked.  You will know its cooked when the shrimps will turn red and the sauce will transform from a raw paste into a nice thick sauce.

Tiger prawns or large sized black shrimp are used.  The black vein should be removed carefully after slitting the back shell to pull out the vein, without removing the shells and heads and tails.  You only chop off the tips of the heads with all its pointy sharp parts.
