Prep:
1kg chicken or mutton/beef - cut into pieces.
Grind to paste:
8 red chillies
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 1/2 tsp corriander seeds
1 tblsp garlic paste
1 1/2 tblsp poppy seeds
1 1/2 tblsp sesame seeds
6 cloves
4 cardamoms
6 pepper corns
3 in cinnamon stick
Slice 5 large onions
Chop 2 tomatoes
Dice a large potatoe
Soak a ball of tamarind in water and squeeze till its pulpy.
Start:
Heat some oil and saute the onions till golden brown.
Saute the ground paste and chopped tomatoes till oil separates.
Add the meat and fry a little
Add a little water for the gravy.
Add diced potatoes and simmer on low fire till done.
Add tamarind pulp and season with salt.
